Since march 2020, Pollustock made experiments and testes with the anti macro waste net HR-1000 C on rainwater outlets based in land environment.
After measuring the effectives of our equipments, The Urban Community Cannes Pays de Lérins commissioned us to develop the first system able to collect micro waste in harbor areas. In this new context of use, the HR-1000 net jumps into water to capture micro waste just before entering in the sea.
This event is a national first which required more than 2 months of technical development, in collaboration with Cannes, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nice Cote d'Azur and the fishermen's prud'homies of Cannes.
This optimized and reinforced variation of the HR-1000 net has been installed in the Old Port of Cannes, on the main rainwater outlet. This structure made of concrete is about 3 meters width and 1.5 meters high, and marshals few kilometers of urban rainwater through Cannes.
Some buoys and lateral deflectors has been added to the technical solution in order to reach a retention capacity of 4 m2 with a performant filtration able to stop small solid pollutant from 2,5 mm.
This new symbol of the battle against maritime pollution has been inaugurated the 16th of July in attendance of the president of the Urban Community of Cannes Pays de Lérins Mr. David Isnard, the director of the Old Port of Cannes Mr. Éric Barrat, and the president of fishermen’s prud’homies of Cannes Mr. Franck Dubiossi."
